Copyright Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan

According to part 1 of the "Statute on the Copyright Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan" approved by the Decree of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated August 30, 2005 No. 287, the Copyright Agency shall apply "copyright rights, related rights, samples of Azerbaijani folklore (traditional cultural samples) , the "central executive body" of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, which implements state policy in the field of intellectual property rights (hereinafter - intellectual property rights) to integrated scheme topologies and data sets, ensures normative legal regulation, development of the field of intellectual property, and coordinates activities in this field According to Decree No. 287 dated October 28, 2013, after the amendment to the Statute, it operated as a "state body whose legal status is equal to that of the central executive authority."

According to clause 1.1 of the Charter of the Copyright Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan, approved by Decree No. 1593 of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated September 6, 2017, the Copyright Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan "On some measures related to the improvement of public administration in the Republic of Azerbaijan" of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan on November 24 1125 of 2016, established in accordance with Part 2 of the Decree No. 1125 of 2016, and in accordance with the Charter, copyright, related rights, intellectual property of samples of Azerbaijani folklore (traditional cultural samples) and other intangible cultural heritage samples, integrated circuit topologies and data sets is a public legal entity that ensures the development of the field of rights, implements uniform regulation and control in this field, and coordinates activities.
